An Important Accreditation for Spring Lake Ranch

A significant step

For the last year Spring Lake Ranch has been preparing for an international, gold standard in behavioral health accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities. We have always believed that our program excels in serving individuals and their families on the journey of recovery, but we are taking this step to gain the recognition of an independent, third party of professionals with over five decades of experience. Our evaluation is slated for the end of this month and our hope and expectation is that we will receive their highest rating.

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, located in Tucson, Arizona, was established in 1966 and has been a leading independent accrediting body of health and human services providers in the areas of Behavioral Health, Child and Youth Services, and Aging Services.

Receiving outside confirmation that our program meets the most stringent standards will have many benefits, including:

  • Assurance to the persons served that our services have met or exceeded internationally developed standards, which emphasize a holistic, person-centered focus integrating an individualized approach to care.
  • Recognition for our families, referring professionals, donors, and other stakeholders that Spring Lake Ranch has met or exceeded internationally developed standards in program delivery, fiscal health, efficiency, risk management, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Independent, external review to identify strengths and areas for improvement based on objective program expectations and guidelines that are common to all CARF-accredited organizations.
  • A marketing advantage and the potential for increased funding and reimbursement opportunities.

As we approach our 90th year of operation we are very proud to take this significant step and continue to build upon our rich history of serving thousands of individuals and their loved ones on the path of recovery from psychiatric and addictive illness.  With a CARF Seal to validate our work and to help us to improve upon what we do, we look forward to sharing our successful outcomes with you.
