Community PASS, formerly known as Spring Lake Ranch’s Independent Apartment Living (IAL) Program, is our lowest level of care. PASS stands for Pathways to Activities, Socializing, and Support.
This community-based program is offered for residents who are ready to live independently and have established outpatient supports and structure. They manage their own medications, routines, meals, and apartment. While many are responsible for contributing to expenses, they often receive financial support through SSDI/SSI benefits and/or family.
Housing and Facilities
Many clients choose to pursue housing through the SLR-owned townhouse, when available. The townhouse is a beautiful Victorian, conveniently located in the historic district of Rutland, within walking distance to local coffee shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. The townhouse has seven unfurnished one bed/bath apartments and offers proximity to peers in the program.
Other clients choose to live throughout Rutland County in independently rented apartments. Ranch community access is the same regardless of housing.
Service Offerings
Community PASS clients meet weekly with a dedicated care manager to review treatment plans and daily living activities. Care managers assist clients in finding appropriate supports based on their needs (therapy, primary care/specialty providers, nursing, housekeeping, etc.)
Community PASS members have access to:
- SLR recovery and mental health groups
- SLR amenities (pottery studio, gym, lake, etc.)
- Ranch holidays and events*
- Occasional SLR prepared meals*
- Occasional Therapeutic Work Program crew time*
- 24/7 clinician on-call support
*Requires advanced notice
Program Cost
Spring Lake Ranch is a private-pay facility. Thanks to our donors, we’re able to offer financial aid for those who qualify. We encourage residents and their families to apply.
Our day rate for Community PASS is $150 for the first 60 days, then $75/day after that.
Program fee does not include housing.
*Appropriateness for Community PASS will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Completion of the Ranch Program does not automatically indicate eligibility. Factors that may determine eligibility include but are not limited to a resident’s safety history and substance use history. If it is determined that our transitional programs are not appropriate, Ranch staff will assist in pursuing alternative options.
